The favourite - Asam Fish
3) Goh Teok Chee @ Sg Nibung
The favourite - Teow Chew fish
4) Maxim @ Pekaka
My favourite - Siu Mai
5) Shanghai Dim Sum @ One Stop
Ann's recommendation
6) Authentic Cantonese Food @ Nordin St
7) Yong Tau Fu shop @ Sg Nibung
8) Fatty Loh Chicken Rice
only because they serve kicap pekat with the chicken rice (and if u r from Klang, you would understand why that is very important)
Indian Food
1) Anantha Bhawan @ st perpendicular to Market St
Our all time favourite : chicken peratal, chappati & kadala curry
2) Karaikudi @ Market St
The favourite : Chicken Briyani, bru coffee & ginger tea
3) Little shop with the blue door near market st.
Ann says the chicken peratal is awesome - tried going in but it was full pack at only 12.15pm!
4) Aunty's shop - near kayu
One of the regular affordable decent home cooked indian food
Malay Food :
1) Cargas @ Balik Pulau
Super freaking good kari ikan pari & ayam goreng - stuff that Khairul and PO never says no to
2) Minah @ Gelugor
Definitely above average but perhaps not memorable - the best thing though is that it is so cooling , and if you have been to Penang before, you would know why this is important
3) Pak Hussein @ Sg Ara
4) Nurul Ikan Bakar @ near the Marine, left hand side off the bridge
Siti's recommendation : in her own words, " They have the yummiest Udang butter, Sotong goreng tepung n of course the ikan"
Mamak :
1) Kapitan
Chicken briyani & Tandoori
2) Mee goreng/Mee Jawa @ Jalan Siam
3) Kayu @ Sg Nibung
the best is still the roti kosong & milo ais
Nasi Lemak :
1) Across Kwang Hua school (next to the field) @ Sg Nibung
available from 7am - 8am
2) Kayu Nasi Lemak
3) Agilent cafe 60cents nasi lemak bungkus
International Food :
1) German - Ingulf Kneipe @ Penang Swim Club
2) Sweedish - Edelweiss @ Armenian St
3) Canadian - Strada @ Pulau Tikus
thus far, it has never dissapointed us
4) Italian - Mario's Ristorante @ Ferringhi
this one is definitely memorable - my first Christmas dinner with Melissa when i moved to Penang, my farewell dinner when I left
5) Italian Pizza Place - Bella Italia @ Ferringhi
the one in Feringgi - if you have the patience to wait, has the best pizza in Penang by a mile
Note : After penning this down, i realise almost most of it have been introduced by Ann and Melissa..Terima Kasih!

3) Taman brown food center for the yummiest and cheap ais kacang!
